Who Am I Without Your Light?
you look at me and I am holy.
a brethren at the feet of my altar,
a love song spoken aloud for all to hear,
a whisper of grace from heaven,
sinking knees, and tears like prayer.
you look at me and I am a goddess,
one you can’t believe stands before you,
glowing like an ethereal star,
impossible, and yet—here.
when you look at me like this,
the world stills.
I become more than I am.
less girl, more sky.
less wound, more wonder.
your gaze cloaks me in light.
I forget the parts of me
that unravel quietly in the dark.
but will you love me,
when the light flickers?
when I’m no longer radiant,
but restless, tired, unshining, real?
will you kneel when I falter?
will you pray when I am silent?
will you stay…
when I forget how to be divine?

"less wound, more wonder" I love how healing this sounds. I'm glad I discovered this piece, it was a breathtaking read ♡
