Fall in Love
Love as everything, everywhere.
"Fall in love, stay in love, and it will decide everything."
— Fr. Pedro Arrupe
This quote has stayed with me, because it is true: love is everything.
It is the air we breathe, the quick hellos we give to a security guard, a cashier at the grocery, the way we smile at a stranger or hold a door open for someone passing by. Love is in the small, often unnoticed moments. The gestures that seem insignificant, yet ripple farther than we ever know.
Love is in everything. It guides us, strengthens us, challenges us—but mostly, it helps us decide. It whispers to us in moments of doubt, reminding us which path to take, which words to speak, and which hands to hold.
Life without love would be empty. Hollow, like water seeping through cracks, leaving nothing behind. No warmth. No meaning. No reason to stay. Without it, days would pass, indistinguishable from one another, like shadows slipping across a blank wall.
Love is not only in the joyous moments. It is in the ache, the heartbreaks, the misunderstandings, the quiet tears we shed when the world feels too heavy. These moments become lessons, shaping us into better, stronger people. They teach patience, forgiveness, and resilience. Love and pain must go hand in hand.
It is love that fills the spaces we don’t understand. It makes the ordinary feel sacred. The coffee we sip in the morning, the street we walk on, the song on repeat in our head—becomes worth noticing. Worth holding on to.
Love reminds us that we are here. That we are living. That we are alive. That even when we feel small, even when we feel lost, we are part of something larger than ourselves. Love is the thread connecting us to others, to the earth, to moments we will never forget.
So love everything. Every glance, every sigh, every fleeting second. Love not because it is easy, but because it is necessary. Because in the end, love is the thing that holds us here, that gives life its texture, its depth, its meaning. And that is truly, impossibly, endlessly beautiful.
